Great British Game Week 2015
Great British Game Week 2015 begins on Monday 23rd November, running through to the end of the month. It’s a celebration of all things game related, opening people’s minds to new and different meats, alongside increasing awareness of sourcing natural products.
This is only the second year the GBGW has been held, but those involved are hoping to make it bigger and better than ever. The main promoters of the event are Taste of Game, and Game to Eat, both of which are huge supporters of alternatives to lamb, chicken, beef, or pork. Others involved in the week include the Countryside Alliance and the British Association for Shooting & Conservation.
The whole aim of the week is to encourage businesses, companies, and the public to enjoy an array of meat, especially seasonal and locally sourced. GBGW hopes to illustrate to others that there are a number of great ways to cook and eat game, creating beautiful meals and helping to stall the over-farming of other, more popular meats.
