Franchi began in 1868 in industrial Brescia, Italy. As a small family business, Luigi Franchi became known for their craftsmanship and innovative design. Their philosophy has always been ‘to produce quality products that meet emerging needs’, and that is apparent throughout their range of guns. Offering both sporting and military shotguns, Franchi became incredibly popular with both personal consumers and military personnel alike. Perhaps most famous for their SPAS-12 and SPAS-15 models (made famous by their appearance in tv, film and video games), Franchi also produce a small range of rifles, and even a low-budget revolver – the RF 83. Today they are owned by Beretta Holdings and continue to design and create innovative and technologically advanced firearms.
